“‘Joy every day’: New Yorkers reveal their fabulous apartments – in pictures”
The Guardian has published a series of photographs of New Yorkers in their homes by Sally Davies. It is a visual delight and another example of what I think of as “home portraits.” In thinking about the archive/s of historic interiors, how they are preserved and remembered, this genre is a valuable one for us to interrogate and consider.
