Join the Historic Interiors Affiliate Group (HIG) on a crawl through the historic, drinking holes of Montreal. This is a chance to socialize with fellow members. Newcomers are welcome to learn more about HIG and join the group. Invent your own drinking games! Drink up every time someone says interior!
Coffee houses, bars and pubs have long been amongst the most significant of designed spaces. Together, we will explore historic taverns in the old working class and red-light districts of Montreal. In recent years, historic interiors from banking halls to private clubs have been innovatively preserved and repurposed as drinking spots in the city’s downtown.
Scholar of bar interiors and local co-chair of the SAH conference Olivier Vallerand of Université de Montréal will guide us through a diverse array of interiors for drinking enjoyed by all types of Montrealers from hipsters to workers to elites. Feel free to drop in and out as you like along the way, but please help us plan by registering for the crawl through Eventbrite.

6pm: Bar George/Mount Stephen Club
SAH is holding its closing reception on Saturday evening, with buses departing from the conference hotel beginning at 6:30. Our tour concludes at 6pm, so that those wishing to attend the SAH reception may return to the hotel in time. For those who wish to stay, everyone is invited to dinner following the HIG event.
